Pralines & Promises is more than a snail mail subscription —
it’s a story of faith, family, and generations coming together.
Pralines & Promises was born from a blend of sweet memories and steadfast faith. My momma used to make homemade pralines — a simple act of love that always brought comfort and connection to our family. After she passed, I discovered the journals she had filled with reflections, prayers, and words of encouragement rooted in her deep love for Jesus.
Those handwritten pages felt like promises — gentle reminders that even in the hardest seasons, God’s grace is still sweet.
That legacy inspired us to create Pralines & Promises — a faith-filled subscription meant to help women pause, reflect, and draw closer to God.
Each monthly delivery is a small reminder that His presence is near, His promises are true, and His love continues to meet us right where we are.

Meet Melisa
Melisa is the heart behind the words. She holds a BA in Business Management and Economics and currently teaches English and Science at a private school in her hometown. A writer at heart, Melisa currently serves as a Ladies Sunday School teacher and is a blessed wife and mom of four. She enjoys being creative and singing with her praise team at church. Her faith, love for encouragement, and passion for helping others grow closer to God are the foundation of Pralines & Promises.
Meet Jaden
Jaden is the creative spark and designer behind the beauty you’ll see in every detail. She has a degree in graphic design, and is a writer and an artist. Jaden has been a dancer for over 18 years and is also a dance instructor at her studio. She serves as an audio-visual technician at her church and spends her free time reading. Jaden brings a modern, and sassy flair to Pralines and Promises.
Meet Claudette
Claudette, although she has passed away in 2021, she is the spiritual root of Pralines & Promises. She was a devoted Christian, Sunday School teacher for many years, and a faithful encourager who poured her love for God into handwritten cards, letters, and journals for decades. After her passing, her words became a treasured legacy — one that now lives on through the reflections shared in each monthly envelope.
Together, this three-generation story blends legacy, faith, and creativity into every delivery. Some pieces are lovingly designed by Jaden, others carefully curated by Melisa — all prayed over and sent with the hope that you feel seen, encouraged, and reminded of God’s promises. When they’re not creating, you’ll likely find Melisa and Jaden shopping together, feeding their chickens, and loving on their dogs — grateful for the joy of doing life and ministry side by side. Pralines & Promises is more than mail — it’s a reminder that God’s promises endure through every generation.
